Please just call/txt me : 210-385-9984 as early as you can, so I can possibly rebook the time.
If you cancel on the same day as the appt (within 24 hr), you will incur a $75 cancellation fee. There’s no way we can rebook your time in that short of notice. The fee needs to be paid before future appointments will be scheduled.
If I arrive at the appointment location and you are not on-site or available, I will have to bill you for the entire amount of the appointment. This needs to be paid before any future appointments will be scheduled.

We make this easy-peasy.  We accept :

Check  /  Credit Cards  /  and the following payment apps (Venmo, Cash-App, Zelle)

Please be prepared to make the payment at the end of the appt before I leave.

I am based out of Austin. So, I offer services there and surrounding areas.

If you are not in the Austin or San Antonio city proper, you may incur a travel fee.

I wrote a whole blog post about this…but, the biggest takeaway is :

I need the room to be the quietest that your family & house can provide:

It doesn’t have to be “library” quiet, but I do need other music sources turned off, kiddos playing in a different area, tv down, etc…the basics. A lot of what I’m doing is matching pitch by ear, and I want to make sure to do a good job for you.

For a regular fine-tuning service – 1 hr.

If you are a new customer – I ask you to budget 2 hours of time in case your instrument requires a pitch correction or any repairs along with the tuning.
OMG, no. I love them…all of them. Please introduce me to them so we can be friends. They aren’t in the way and don’t cause me issues at all.
You can ALWAYS call/txt me any time : 210-385-9984.

This is my only job. You are never bothering me. And I will always respond to texts and voice mails.
My goal is to build a long-term relationship with you. Once you hold your initial appointment, you will hear from me every 6 months to schedule an appointment. I would like to be your “piano guy” for the lifetime of your musical journey.
Short answer…no.

I use a computer that measures the amount of times per second each string vibrates. This allows me to be VERY precise. I still have to use my ear to make sure each string compliments its unison, so the keys provide their best tones.
I recommend highly that the piano be tuned to A-440. That is the amount of tensile strength the instrument structure was engineered to handle. And deviating from this is not advisable.

However, that being said, you’re the boss. I’ll tune it however you request.

Honestly, they absolutely shouldn’t. I’m not putting enough tension on them to stretch them to their potential breaking point.

But…strings age, they get dusty & rusty and they weaken. So, if it does happen, I can usually fix them on the spot. Pricing for new strings can be found HERE.

If I am running off to another customer after you, I may need to schedule another time to come out. But, I promise I’ll get you taken care of.

Be it upright or grand piano – all prices are the same.

EXCEPT :

Spinets (sorry spinets) ~ repairs on spinets that require the action removed, including string replacement, will have a $75 fee added.

And Player Pianos ~ any service administered on a player piano will have a $75 fee added.

Piano manufacturers recommend that their instruments be tuned 2 times per year. This will help the piano maintain its peak performance for the strings and the action (hammers, keys and the other moving parts inside the instrument.)

But, if you do not use the instrument regularly (2-3 times per week), or even at all, it is ok to tune it annually,  1 time per year.

I do NOT work on the player part of a player piano.

And, I charge an additional $75 to tune or administer repairs on a player piano.

Nope…I wouldn’t even know where to start. Sorry about that.
