Fine Tune

Adjusting the string tension in order to bring the instrument to true A-440 Standard Pitch.

Pitch Correction

$100
A “pre-tuning” string stretch to prepare the instrument for a fine tune. This is required if the instrument hasn’t been tuned recently (24+ months) and / or is 15+ cents low. On some occasions, this service may need to be performed more than once.

Sticky Keys

There are multiple diagnoses for this issue. Most can be fixed with minimal repair for a charge of : $15 each.

If an extensive repair is required, costs can be custom-quoted on the spot.

String Care

Silver Wires: $45 each

Bass Strings (custom produced and require a 2 week lead time): $85 each

Full Piano Restringing : $4,000 - $7,500 (exact quote can be given in person)

On-location inspection of a piano you are looking to buy. I can tell you how much it will cost to get it fully functional so you can make an educated buy. **Text me pictures and I can sometimes do it for free!

Additional Repairs

Many minor repairs can be done on the spot for minimal cost, but for more time-consuming repairs, please contact me for a custom quote.

Piano Tuning

Fine Tune: Adjust each tuning pin 1 time ~ $145. - Good for most in-home pianos that have been tuned within the last 12 months.
Pitch Adjustment: Adjust each tuning pin twice (includes Fine Tune) ~$195 ~ this is appropriate for pianos that have not been tuned in 2+ years. (And, for some that are very out of pitch, a follow-up in 3-4 weeks for another tuning). this is also appropriate for customers with sensitivity to pitch who need their instrument to hold a more exact tolerance until the next tuning appointment.

If an extensive repair is required, costs can be custom-quoted during the appointment.

ReStringing

New strings can revitalize the sound of your piano. Whether it is replacing 1 broken string, 1 octave of strings or the whole piano.
Silver/Treble Wires : $55 - $65 each
Bass Strings (custom produced and require a 2 week lead time) : $90 each
*Volume pricing can be provided if 1 or more octave’s worth of strings are needed.
Full Piano Restringing : $4,500 - $7,500

Cleaning

Light Cleaning (often partnered with regular tuning service) ~ $35 (includes basic key cleaning, dusting & pedal-trap vacuuming)
“Functional Cleaning ~ $90 (includes everything from a light cleaning + cleaning the action, the keybed and action cavity.)
Grand Piano sound board detailing ~ $350 (to be followed by a pitch correction & tuning to get back in working order.)

Regulation is the process of making adjustments to the piano action so it performs to the best of its ability.

(The piano needs to be tuned before being voiced. If not in the same visit, then within 1-2 months)

“New plastic keytoppers (either white or ivory) - $15 per key or $450 for the whole keyboard

Perfecting the precision. Ensuring the hammer hits the strings evenly. Repairing or replacing broken or worn hammers. Hammer repairs can be quoted on the spot.
